MARCION
I shall demonstrate that Marcion is a gradeschool argument when concerning THE LORD GOD AMMON, GOD of your fathers, of you, and Marcion.
Marcion distinguished the Jewish creator from the good and true deity revealed in and through Jesus Christ. His conception of an evil creator—that good character cannot come from evil actions—was not supported by the majority of Roman presbyters.
Marcion Destroyed By His Own Gospel
His argument collapses on itself.
First use of "love" in Scripture — same God, same pattern:
OT — Gen. 22:2: "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest" — love defined by sacrifice and obedience
NT — Jn. 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son"
Father. Only Son. Given. Sacrifice. Love = Obedience. Identical.
Marcion marveled at Jn. 3:16 while rejecting the very template God used to write it.
Jesus answered Marcion before Marcion existed:
"The Father is greater than I" — Jn. 14:28 — Jesus subordinates Himself, meaning the Father of the OT is not inferior — He is greater
"I and the Father are one" — Jn. 10:30 — same God, same Word, same covenant
"I tell you before it come to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye may believe" — Jn. 14:29 — testimony requires prior witness
1 Jn. 5:3 seals it: "This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments — and His commandments are not grievous."
Love without commandment is Marcion's god — a fiction with no prior witness.
The legal standard — Deut. 19:15: "By two or three witnesses shall a matter be established."
Marcion's god has no prophecy, no fulfillment, no mother, no blood.
No prior witness. No case. Court dismissed.
GOD CRUCIFIED HIS OWN SON
THERE GOES HIS WHOLE THEORY.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Thus if it is Marcion is a follower of Jesus, he only gets that Jesus by THE FATHER LORD GOD, the old testament GOD, and not without, for it is BONE OF MY BONE, the man in front, the man receives the command, the man receives the daughters, and Jesus lost not one but the son (the males) of perdition.
So you have no righeous son, without the stern austere FATHER, on guard, over the flock, to command, and teach, correct and set straight, to teach such righteousness.
The problem is Marcion took it as if Christ would not have killed just the same if THE FATHER commanded it. Any that assume such are foolish and no not thier Jeuss Christ, nor the GOD they serve, for we know who we serve, for salvation is of the Jew (the females he being the lion of Judah, the felines the pride is the glory). see Revelation Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. OLD TESTAMENT NEW TESTAMENT
THE OLD TESTAMENT is as on the pilgrimage of the fathers, the point when one must kill for the sake of the others.
THE NEW TESTAMENT is as on the pilgrimage journey as to you obey the command of THE FATHER, you are young, in thirties, under the father.
There goes the whole of Marcion.
